Introduction to Grief Resources

As I was heading to a funeral service a few weeks ago, it dawned on me that summer time reminds me of loss. It seems like every close family member I’ve lost has passed away in the summer, so the summer heat and hot tears are a close association for me.

Summer can also be a lonely time for loss. School is out and schedules fall by the wayside, which can sometimes mean more isolation for our friends and family grieving the loss of a loved one.

June kicks off our month of grief support resources in Middle Tennessee. If you know of someone who could benefit from community or talking to someone about their loss, we’ve compiled some resources for you to share with them and each week we will feature one of these resources and more information about how they can help.
